Project Overview

Bili Hu is an Indian coffee brand deeply connected to the coffee heritage of Chikmagalur. The project focused on creating a pop-up retail space that could be set up at private events such as milestone celebrations and weddings. The goal was to build a space that went beyond serving coffee and instead offered an immersive experience that reflected Bili Hu’s values, story, and craftsmanship.

Our Approach

The pop-up was designed to capture the warmth and authenticity of Indian coffee culture through a refined, contemporary lens. Inspired by traditional Kolam patterns, the design used these motifs as a subtle graphic and structural element, symbolizing connection and hospitality. The color palette of black, red, and white reflected Bili Hu’s rebranding and helped establish a strong, elegant visual identity.

The structure featured high-quality materials such as polished teak wood, black and white marble sunmica, and matte laminates. These materials gave the space a sense of luxury while maintaining simplicity and comfort. The design also considered practical needs: the entire pop-up was modular and easy to assemble using L-angles and flat plates. This allowed it to adapt to different spaces and event sizes while preserving its aesthetic integrity.

Key Details

The pop-up encouraged engagement beyond retail. Visitors could interact with traditional brewing methods, explore the history of Indian coffee, and experience the brand’s heritage through storytelling and design. Every corner of the setup was crafted to represent the balance between cultural depth and modern minimalism.

Result

The pop-up stood out as a thoughtful blend of tradition, design, and brand storytelling—an experience that was as rich and layered as the coffee it served.
