Project Overview

What Design Can Do Amsterdam is an international design conference that brings together creatives, innovators, and changemakers to explore how design can drive social and environmental impact. This project focused on creating engaging animated and still visuals for the event’s digital and physical presence. The goal was to design content that reflected the event’s energy, creativity, and global reach while maintaining visual consistency across platforms such as Instagram and the venue environment.

Our Approach

Working with the Communications and Programmes teams, I designed and animated visuals including the “One Week to Go” countdown, speaker announcements, and theme reveal posts. I also created wayfinding signage for the event venue and supported live content creation during the event. Post event, I produced a highlight reel and later collaborated with the team to create an official event reel, managing the planning, shooting, and editing process.

Result

The visuals successfully captured the event’s vibrant identity and audience engagement, both online and on site. My highlight reel received positive feedback and led to further collaboration, including creating the “Save the Date” animation for the upcoming What Design Can Do Mexico 2025 event. The experience deepened my understanding of visual communication, branding, and storytelling in a real world context.
